There's a hush that goes throughout the crowd that's gathered around and watching this, now. Even Koshou didn't think it would've have progressed into such a full-fledged battle but so it had, and despite the hush there was nothing but a sense of awe and excitement around those who look on. The crunch of stone and rock comes rumbling down the mountainside and the dust creates a wall that breaks the vision between the two combatants .. and then Bosake is speeding toward the other Shinigami with a fresh stance and sword leading the way. Once more between the two strong-men, the blades clash with another thunder-clap of sound pressure that breaks between them with a fierce swirl of air that causes sandals to scrape against the dry, dusty ground underfoot as each of them press forward and never back! As the opposing impacts of force collide though, the pair of them are pushed apart again, tattered black scraps and drapes of what remains of the kimono along Koshou's torso fluttering and snapping in the wind as he flies backward through the air in a protective crouch.
Landing with one knee to the ground, one hand pressing knuckles into the dirt while the other holds his Zanpakuto extended outward to his side, in a sweep that keeps the blade free from his own body and ready to move even now. It's for sure this time, the force of the blow seems to have been partially absorbed by the wrappings around his abdomen, another smalls section of it suddenly looking frayed and blown out in comparison to the rest of the bindings. But it's the sudden sheen of reishi that seems to cover them like a thin layer that gives truth to the technique the Soul Reaper has applied to himself now, under guise of the retreat. The breaths that pant out of his mouth comes like slow, raspy growls that could almost be categorized as such! That smile never waivers though, nor the half-crazy look that gleams across the golden eyes.
"Courage .. Honor .. Justice .. Mercy .. Manner .. Character .. Honesty .. Loyalty .. what are these to you, Shinigami Bosake?" His voice is quiet, that kind of quiet that can often come before the storm, like standing in the sudden peace of the eye of a hurricane. He speaks, takes a moment to re-construct himself of a sort, and this visibly takes effort from him not to press the advantage, to go for the hamstring, the guts, the throat.

His diagonal slash aimed across Koshou’s midsection whisked through the air with the momentum of his charge and weight, only to be caught by the beasts beaten gold zanpakuto once more. The resounding clap of thunder from their opposing forces was deafening, causing a concussed ringing in the ears of their fledgling onlookers as the recoil separated them like an ethereal referee as they reset their positions. Skidding backwards the two shinigami held each others gaze, looking to anticipate the next route their battle would take. Bosake had found himself laboring for breath and was relieved to see that Koshou was doing the same. He was unsure whether or not to be proud that he had brought the beast of the 11th division to a knee, or be fearful of what was to come. Despite the optics, Bosake knew that his efforts would be unsustainable in the long run, and moreover, there was a high probability Koshou was holding back his true power and that at any moment the beast could end this all on a whim. With the realization of this he was grateful for a break in the action, using it to refresh and replenish himself as well. “Virtues of the just…” Bosake replied to the riddle as he noticed the bandages around Koshou’s midsection bolstered by the glow of reishi that seemed to be aiding in some sort of recovery. “I appreciate you humoring me in this bout, I hope that I have been suitable enough for this exercise…” He added, sensing their clash was potentially coming to an end, but keeping his stance on the ready as he could not afford to lose focus should his assertions prove incorrect. There's a slight nod of the head of the Soul Reaper that still slowly circles around Bosake as their bout seems to take a lull. The onlookers seem to sense the coming end, or perhaps the finale as they eye each other up for one more potential burst of activity before they call it a day. That certainly seems to be on Koshou's mind as his grin never ceases. There seems to be a small but quickly passing sense of disappointment that shuffles across his expression but it's easily missed.
"Bushido. An admirable code ... but when it comes to down to your life, or the mission? It's the mission at any cost." Koshou seems to be waiting for the right time to make his move, finding the defenses of the bigger man quite formidable for someone new to their ranks. "With gusto, then ... let's finish with a blast!" Then he's moving forward. Reckless, and without abandon but Bosake can feel even from this distance that the other man has unleashed some of his suppressed power. Coming forth that blades shines with just enough gleam to give warning and help anticipate the direction of his blows. One powerful swing comes down at Bosake as Koshou leaps forward into the air to achieve the angle needed to comes down against his defenses. Stepping almost on the air itself, the man flips backward, that blade flashing once with a more horizontal strike - right at the height of Bosake's neck!

Bushidō. It was something he had never heard of before, and not something that was taught at the academy. Prior to his shinigami training Bosake was a blacksmith’s strikers and had never been given any preemptive tutelage. His path to soul reaper was an abrupt one brought on by a single moment of inspiration that proved to change the course of his life. Alas, this code seemed to be synonymous with his beliefs and straight edged sense of duty. The thought of sacrificing oneself for the mission while in alignment to the aforementioned virtues was all a warrior could ever ask for. Koshou had taught him a lot of things during this bout, and perhaps this was the precursor to the final lesson of the day. “En garde…” Bosake bellowed in response as he readied himself for their final clash. Using reishi to focus his senses, the large shinigami could feel the heightened spiritual pressure and reckless abandon of Koshou as he charged forth. The downward swing comes from above with a prior glint of sunlight gleaming from the beasts Zanpakuto, allowing Bosake time to react and envelop himself in a thin barrier of his own holographic reishi. The force of the gold brass blade is then quickly absorbed and redirected back towards Koshou in an immediate flash of photonic brilliance. The following gravity canceling step that would provide the airborne footing for Koshou’s backflip allowed just enough time for his scarabs to prevent his neck from being slashed. Huddling together with the durability of all six of their shells, they managed to negate the force of the strike before dissipating into the atmosphere as successful sacrifices. However, an intense heat would make itself known at his neckline where the sword strike would have landed. “I will now honor you with my final strike!” Bosake exclaimed as he flared up his reiatsu, engulfing himself in a massive holographic wisp of reishi as he took a focused breath before leaping upwards towards Koshou in his airborne descent. In what would seem like the blink of an eye, Bosake would perform a pair of swift staying slashes diagonally across each side of Koshou’s midsection, leaving an X shaped wave of force in his wake that would have only seemed like a single strike to their fledgling onlookers. The giant would land in a long sliding skid as he held the form of his strike for a few moments before slowly standing back upright, sheathing his sword, and about facing to survey Koshou once more. 'Ha! I see you ....'
Koshou thinks this to himself as he sees the larger Bosake come barrelling toward him with that last burst of effort and speed; focus and determination. Rushing forward, the stocky Soul Reaper turns his blade once more, seeing that first strike coming and shifting the edge of his sword to intercept the first of those blows as they come, all the while being awash in the photonic wave of energy that seems to outline the beast-like man's frame in an aura or silhouette of reishi. All around him it burns, and the damage and pain that comes through his expression only seems to heighten his sense of excitement and the look of crazed fervor that gleams in the man's eye. He doesn't notice the second of the two strike, that second crossing of the X slashing through the last of his armored reiatsu and lancing a thin ribbon of red that streaks its way across his abdomen. He hardly even feels it at first, the clang of the first blow being blocked ringing through ears.
Setting his feet, Koshou is ground back into the dirt and ground, that last slash pushing him back a step further. When the proverbial dust settles this time, the man is standing with his blade resting across his shoulder at ease. He pants heavily, breathing from the effort of their bout together, and his free hand is dabbing at the thin droplets of blood that are already beginning to seep from the thin cut and dribble down across the wrapping of bandages that encircle his ribs. "That ... was exactly was I was hoping for!" He finally exclaims, as Bosake turns himself around at last. "It's been a true pleasure, Shinigami Bosake. You should seek me out again, soon. I think we could work very well together, and who knows? We might continue learning from each other." With a sharp cut, Koshou raises his sword and whips it down in a salute to the other Soul Reaper, before finally sheathing the blade. To that, it seems like a dismissal, not to just Bosake but also the rest of the group looking on - who now break out amongst themselves in a deafening cacophony of chatter as they begin to discuss the finer points of the spar they'd just witnessed.
