Nicholas looks away briefly when it's mentioned that most people are unaware of what to call Hollows, something he was guilty of himself until just a few weeks prior. While that whole situation with the Shinigami was not preferable, at least he now had that knowledge and the respect for having it.

Diana then gave her introduction, for both herself and the group she associated with, the Red Lotus. People with special abilities like himself, organizing together and trying to secure something better for themselves. Such a simple goal, and yet...what else is there to want? They had the power to deal with these Hollows that the Shinigami refuse to and yet they were treated like everybody else. They keep the world safer and if it was known what they were, they'd likely be shunned and outcasted rather than praised.

And yet, this Red Lotus wishes to stand at the top, to hold money, power, and control. Nicholas had never considered it before, given his lack of knowledge of other people with powers like his, but was it right that people like him stand over other Humans? It could be argued that, in a way, they were superior beings, Humans that also possessed supernatural capabilities. Was it right though? They had the capabilities to keep people safe that nobody else was capable of, and they rose up to the occasion, but was this the proper repayment?

When handed his money and the card, Nicholas looks down on them, thinking deeply on the idea. Finally he found people like him, people that could relate to him...but was this a good thing? He did not know.

"I will be sure to think on it, Diana," he answers simply before exiting the vehicle, the odd sensation of the building wearing away as he started to leave the area. The only trace of that sensation now was in the card he held. It had such a flowery design, and yet only he knew what dangers it could bring him. Was it worth the risk of going along with these people? Was it even worth it to try and continue living payment to payment as he does right now?

Pulling out his book from his pocket, Nicholas opens it up and places it between the pages. Snapping it shut, the crimson card now sits there, a bookmark reminding him to pick up this story again later. Whether he chooses to join this group or not, he now knew too much to simply leave it all behind and forget about it.

"Who knows, maybe they really are right."
