An outpouring of Sinners caught the inhabitants of Soul Society off guard - Pluses who were expecting this day to pass like any other were now fleeing for their lives and flooding the streets. One after another, buildings burned and crashed, and smoke rose far to the skies, it and the cacophony of sounds alerting everyone in miles that something was going on. In spite of the initial chaos, everything may still have been put under control. The Sinners simply wanted to be free from Hell, and many of them had no chance of challenging Shinigami - if sat down and talked to, they could easily be pacified and then kicked back to the dimension where they belong.

Soon, however, a new cast of characters began entering through the portals. They too were humanoid, but unlike their Sinner peers, they did not wear masks and they were armed. Each one of them was dressed in fancy garb not too dissimilar from the nobility of medieval Europe - tunics with gilded cloaks, some incorporating pieces or even entire suits of armor, or thick fur coats descending from their shoulders - and grimoires floated next to each one, used to channel their Reishi.

They were Demons, the rarely mentioned, mysterious rulers of Hell, overlords of the Kushanada. Knights, Marquises, Dukes, Lords. Above them stood three Princes, and among them - the Demon King.

Content with the beginnings of the invasion, Demon King Vilgrath and Prince Ilvamal rose from the floor, leaving a frightened and confused Taisho in the dust - then flew outwards. The two Demons easily punched through the walls of the Prison and flew through several floors with little resistance before shooting out into the sky and landing in a small city square near the walls of Seireitei. Here, the lesser Demons had already overrun the resistance, sweeping up the innocent Pluses and battling the few Shinigami who were in the vicinity - so an ominous silence set upon the square, only the round of a small water fountain in the middle interrupting it.

"The Shard will be able to maintain all of the Gates open for as long as we want," the Demon King spoke, mostly to himself, and raised his hand forward - the Hogyoku Shard floated forward and embedded itself into the fountain, giving it a faint glow and attaching itself to the center. "Until then... you have a few simple tasks, brother. Keep the Shinigami at bay. Protect the Shard."

"And you..." Prince Ilvamal muttered, noting that his brother closed his Grimoire and turned to the side, his eyes focused somewhere else.

"I'm going to go meet someone."

"Who did this? Who let these intruders into the heart of Soul Society? It was not my Division, that's for sure!"

A hasty assembly of several Captains was taking place in the headquarters of the First Division - the four Great Seireimon Gatekeepers, whose Divisions were tasked with defending the four sections of Rukongai, and especially Seireitei. Of them, the Captain of the 3rd Division, Tadashi Sawamura, was the one who raised his voice, having barged in to the Captain Assembly Hall in furor at the news.

"Nobody was responsible. The attack came from the inside," Miles Ukai, the 1st Division Vice-Captain, assured him almost immediately after. It was rare for him to attend a Captain meeting, and Miles could tell that the other four Shinigami weren't particularly happy with his presence - his Captain, however, chose not to attend. As soon as the news broke out, catching him and his Lieutenant in the middle of a tea drinking ceremony, Captain-Commander Katsumoto hurried out, speaking cryptic about someone being "back again" and him needing to be present somewhere. A rash decision which Miles still could not figure out, but he had to make do with what he had, and so he presided over the meeting personally. And besides, it was the territory of his division which was under attack. "The first Hell Gate was opened in the Central Underground Prison. It should not have been possible for such an occurrence to happen so deep in Seireitei, even if a Sinner removed its mask completely - so we could not have accounted for the outcome in advance."

"And what is the situation like now?" Arani Ojiro, the petite Captain of the 7th Division, asked. Her peer, Hayato Tsukishima of the 9th Division, answered simply as soon as he raised his eyes:

"The Kido Corps has registered at least a hundred Gates opened all across this section of Soul Society - the number of Sinners on the field may as well number in the thousands. And among them are these... Demon things, who can't wait to pick a fight with our Shinigami and can easily challenge them in battle."

"Demon... things?" Aritaka Shishio of the 13th Division muttered, his expression more confused than surprised. His lack of awareness got glossed over by Captain Ojiro, however, who spoke up:

"Sounds more than a Division's worth of trouble - especially when there are so many innocent people to protect on the way. We'll need all five of us to work together, for once."

There was another thing which Miles considered worthy of mentioning - however, for now, he chose to withhold it. The burst of energy which came from the Central Underground Prison upon the opening of the Gates of Hell across the dimension was no ordinary Reishi - but what it was would panic the other Captains in a moment when they needed focus and immediate action. It was best to bring this up later, when the initial threat is handled and the Gotei 13 can sit down and decide on the most measured response to the invasion. After a brief chat, the four Captains and the First Division Lieutenant divided roles - each one of the five Divisions would get a portion of the affected area and be tasked to stop the expansion of the invasion there - and departed after brief nods of recognition.

Miles took a sharp turn through the corridors of the Headquarters, however. An alternate route, making his way past the Shinigami of his Division, seeking out one Third Seat in particular.

"Hyakuji!" the Vice-Captain called out as soon as he saw the familiar black hair mane, and stopped in front of the lesser ranked Shinigami. "Don't go out with your fellow Division just yet, I am going to need you for something important." It only made sense to entrust this to the Third Seat when he personally was not able to take the mission. Miles pointed out the nearest window, which, much like the rest of First Division Headquarters, gave a wide panoramic view of Seireitei.

"I strongly suspect that the Demons did not infiltrate Soul Society solely with their own ability - no, they are in possession of a piece of the Hogyoku itself," he explained. Whether Hyakuji knew what Demons or the Hogyoku meant, it did not matter much to him - all explanations will have to come later, anyway. "I am going to need you to make your way deep into the affected region, see whether this suspicion holds true, and if it does - secure the piece."

Getting ready to depart himself - the First Division needed someone to command them on the battlefield, even if the Captain-Commander has gone somewhere - Miles offered one last statement:

"I am also going to contact the 12th Division - if the report from the Underground Prison was correct, then the Sinner who seems to have opened the first Gate by removing their mask was frequently visited by their Fifth Seat. It's a long shot, but he might know more about what has beset us here."

A message for aid was sent out across the world in secret - through contacts Tendo has made with his customers over the years, going down the network of acquaintances asking acquaintances, until they secured at least two Fullbringers with enough spiritual strength to be an aid for the battle in Soul Society. The directions to them were to meet in Tokyo, in a rather inconspicuous place in the downtown, and if they ever get lost, they just need to follow a faint Reishi signature trail and then find a woman with a crown and an eyepatch with a spade sign.

This did mean that Princess Zarzil was forced to stand outside for hours, a proud ruler of millions of demons having to kill herself from the boredom was not happy with it - but as soon as she saw faces resembling the two Fullbringers they had recruited to aid them, she raised her hands and waved.

Tendo Shoten appeared no different from the usual confectionary which dotted the streets of Tokyo and trapped tourists with ridiculous prices - and sure enough, if an ordinary person stepped into the shop, they would witness exactly that. Spiritually aware beings would see something else, however - weapons, medicine, equipment and tools handcrafted and specifically designed to be of use to them. Many Fullbringers, Quincies, and even a few Shinigami, especially in Tokyo and the surrounding metropolitan area, had heard of Tendo Shoten and the benefits it brings - although, for a few reasons, it was still unknown to Soul Society itself.

The owner of the shop, Sadaharu Tendo, sat by the counter, reading a magazine, and put it down as soon as he heard the bell above the door ring. Thankfully, it was not some lost American again, thinking that he stumbled into another shop two blocks down.

"Welcome to Tendo Shoten, please enjoy your stay," Tendo began, rising from his seat. "We have a twenty percent discount on Denreishinki today, and a fifteen percent discount on-"

"Tendo, please," Princess Zarzil called out as soon as she stepped inside.

"I was getting to that," the shopkeeper replied, then sighed and made a way to the door on the back. "I hope the trip here was comfortable to you two. My name is Tendo, and this is Zarzil, Demon Princess and one of the three rulers of Hell. She has chosen to defect and warn me that her two brothers are attacking Soul Society as we speak - hence we have brought you two here, to join the fight as reinforcements."

Tendo tapped the door. It looked like merely a locked closet, but the "CLOSED" sign hanging off it actually held an embedded Spirit Badge on the other side, allowing this door to access the other realms of reality.

"This door will able to take you to Soul Society, as soon as you step in. It will mask your spiritual signature, making it indistinguishable from an ordinary Soul Society inhabitant - so you will appear as merely very strong Pluses. I still recommend you to don some sort of disguise, though, if you expect anyone on the other side to be able to recognize your face."

As soon as he opened the door, bright light began filtering through.

"Good luck, and, uh, sorry for dumping so much information on you at once, but Zarzil's not going to like it if I keep speaking for much longer," Tendo continued, and the Demon rolled her eyes at the comment. "You will be able to leave through the same door you entered, and if you want, you will be able to stay for a while afterwards so I can explain a few more things to you."

It was a fine morning in the barracks of the First Division, members of the said division went about their busy schedules. Some were training in the dojo, others were on patrol duties, while a few were about to fulfill their assigned missions outside Seireitei.

Among other shinigami who kept their hands full was the First Division Third Seat, Muimina Hyakuji, who was currently sitting in his office, reading and auditing the reports from the different divisions while sipping through a cup of his favorite drink. It might be a strange sight to his colleagues, as he was known to be a slacker before. But everything has changed, these days, he was working his fingers to the bone, day in and out; becoming more responsible and dependable, a model shinigami in his own right. Whatever the reason for this change was, only he himself knew.

He welcomed the bitter taste of the hot coffee in his mouth before putting the cup aside on his desk when a massive shockwave was felt throughout the headquarters. Several of the documents on his desk were disarranged, his cup tumbled from the table, immediately shattering into pieces, while the coffee spilled on the floor. The tremor was so sudden, everyone was caught off guard, they thought it was a tremendous earthquake. He immediately walked out of his office, after securing the papers, to check the commotion. Strange, he was sure the shock was too intense, there should have been fissures and cracks on the ground and around the building, but there was none. Still, the alarms continued to resound through the halls as if calling for immediate action.

He then immediately summoned his most trusted subordinates, along with some members of his platoon to investigate further. Walking through the corridors at a quickening pace until he bumped into and was stopped by the Vice-Captain, Miles Ukai, with who he had bad blood. The reason went all the way back to the trial of a certain fullbringer who was now his girlfriend. The said high-ranked shinigami then was adamant about the fullbringer's execution, which thankfully, was dismissed by the Captain. If he was younger, he would've acted indifferently, but he had already grown out of such immaturity.

"Ukai-fukutaicho," he responded, giving a respectful bow, and as he raised his face again, he instructed his squad to leave him and the Vice-Captain alone for a private conversation. Vice-Captain Ukai then proceeded with his explanation.

With this information, the third seat learned that the chaos was brought about not by an earthquake but by the demons. He had only heard and read about sinners, based on the reports filed by the Second, Tenth, and Twelfth Divisions whose members had a close encounter of the said spiritual beings. But he assumed they were different from the sinners. There was little information about the said beings, even though he constantly read through the archives within the headquarters, he could not remember encountering any document about them. Going back to the pressing issue at hand, he wondered if the attack was an invasion from outside, then it would have been detected by the Sekkiseki, and any initial attempt would be immediately prevented. Unless the assault came from the inside. And the Hogyoku shard? He had seen the shard for himself during his investigation on its existence in the world of the living, the Captain Commander personally picked him since the report came while he was on a mission gathering information about fullbringers, hitting two birds with one stone. It was also that time when he encountered Diana Chase for the nth time, eventually learning that it was her who possessed the shard Soul Society was scouting on. Although he still had no clue what power it holds, if Diana tapped into it during their fight, then it made sense... it was indeed too powerful and dangerous.

The Vice-Captain then commanded him to investigate whether his insights regarding the attack were true: if the Demons causing trouble in Soul Society possessed one of the shards, further instructing him to secure the piece. At once, Ukai pointed his fingers through the window, the raven-haired shinigami shifted his gaze outside. Hyakuji knitted his brows at the horrific sight. Several areas in all of Seireitei were engulfed in fire, billows of thick smoke rolled out, claiming a large portion in the atmosphere, while buildings continued to crumble the ground. What struck the Third Seat the most was several strange gates were constantly appearing everywhere. Some of the gates were still shut in chains, with a skeleton torso on each door. "So, this is hell."

Witnessing the chaos, he didn’t waste any more minute, bowing down to the Vice-Captain before leaving the headquarters and made his way to the affected area as instructed.

It was the first weekend since the second semester of High School began at the Academy for Yukari Aiahara. It was a typical humid day on the big island of Hawaii, the tan teenager was watering the plants in her room early in the morning, watching her parents farm the land from outside the window. A cold sweat formed on the back of her neck, she sensed a familiar reiryoku behind her, and she turned around to see Hideki Soma standing there in a track outfit that was not his soul reaper uniform.

Before Yukari could say anything, he gestured for silence with his index, and handed her a reishi encrypted message along with a tiny box with a ribbon. The contents of the letter were written in Japanese, she immediately recognized it as Hyakuji’s handwriting, which expressed that Tendo pulled a couple of strings to assist with a particular problem in soul society. Inside the box was a vial of perfume, a special item from Tendo’s shop that would mask her reiryoku, and change her appearance in order to infiltrate Soul Society.

“If we leave now, your father won’t notice, time in Soul Society is different from the realm of the living, when you get back it would be like you never left.” Hideki whispered, “I will take you to Japan first to be debriefed on your mission after you put that on. Just make sure to hold on to it in case it wears off.”

This was the first time Yukari used this perfume, she had no idea what would happen if she sprayed it on, but she trusted Hyakuji. In a blink of an eye, the melanin on her skin turned paper white, her eyes changed crimson, and her black tshirt turned into a dress with red stripes. The slightly golden platinum blonde hair on her head turned snow white. It was quite unnerving to look so different in the mirror but she had no choice in the matter given the circumstances. Before she could even stare at the mirror any longer, Hyakuji took her hand, which startled her as she was spirited away to Japan.

“Just head on inside. I will see you topside.” Hideki raised two fingers to his brow and winked at her before stepping inside a Senkaimon gate he opened with his zanpakuto to return for duty in Soul Society which was on high alert.

Yukari was never good with strangers, she was prone to stabbing people when she first met them, and she did her best to act calm as she slid open the wooden door of the shop with a bell chime going off. Tendo immediately welcomed her, even offering to sell her a Denreishinki at a discount, and she smirked realizing they were being pawned off like candy despite being so valuable to Shinigami.

On cue, she slowly bowed in greeting custom to the Japanese towards the owner and the woman clad in European style of clothing with a fur collar fringe. A ruler from hell? Yukari was familiar in dealing with escaped sinners but facing demon royalty was something entirely different. The moment the gateway leading to soul society was revealed, a familiar reiatsu emanated from the portal itself, she knew it as a Hogyoku shard. After holding the shards before, it was no different from locating the spirit ribbons of the important people in her life, and without thinking about it she approached the gate, almost walking into it until Zarzil spoke up.

“You can call me Snow.” It was obviously a fake name and she figured that much was understood in this particular situation.

Janus was at the airport that morning. Her nose was already bleeding from the massive amount of people and the millions of terrible things that could happen to an airplane. She had tried to cover as much time as she could while being asleep but that had eventually failed her, after all she still had to get to wherever she was going. Which presented another tense thought as she left the bathroom with something stuck up her nose. Her Japanese wasn't bad, but with a sound problem from the block airway she sounded worse than she was.

She finally got out and made her way to the trains. From there the wonderous invention called a smart phone began to solve most of her problems. Though the amazing aptitude of Japanese transportation did lead to a myriad of futures that she didn't want to deal with. Eventually making her way to the train exit on a rather low volume area. She rubbed her forehead and found a small rest area to wash her face and pull the wad of paper out of her nose before letting it slowly clear up. She stared at the mirror and realized that she could have looked a lot worse. She splashed her face a few more times as he searched the futures for anything else that could end badly.

Of course, there were always things that could end badly, this time it was more of just normality. The issue was she had no idea what she was doing at the moment. Why was she there, she had a feeling she was going to get an earful. Which, was something Janus was used to. She looked into the mirror again and a future version of herself, cloaked in torn clothing, with far more scars that Janus had smiled from behind her. We're almost at the starting line... She said to Janus. Now, Janus was completely used to going insane, but future Janus always seemed to know more than her which was never a good thing. What Janus had not known was the future Janus was the one who always set things like this up.

Almost as if Future Janus had its own set of friends, allies and enemies that Janus would never understand. Which was true, from a certain perspective. Janus had never met Tendo, she had never heard of the shop. The issue was, Future Janus had done this all before, and did so love to torture her. Janus wiped the image out of the back of her mind and walked out onto the street. She pulled out her phone, the small charm spinning wildly like a divination pendant and finally settled in a direction. A few moments later she found herself looking at the small candy shop.

The door opened, right as Janus showed up and she blinked. She was used to doing that to others, not others doing that to her. The man and the young woman behind it made her almost look blankly in confusion. Then there was the girl straight out of a modeling magazine she had just come to the door next too. Janus looked down at her own body for a second, and shrugged. She would have felt more insecure but at least she didn't look like her future self yet.

She sneezed a second later. Janus couldn't feel power, not like others, she didn't get pasted to the ground like some people she had seen before. No, to her, raw magic was much like a primal force of fear. It lead to completely debilitating insanity, same effect but less face tanking the ground. Anyway, that candy, there was way too much of it.   She walked in behind the young lady, and was sad that she didn't stand in front of her so she didn't have to smell more but the confections took over a second later. She could almost feel the blood sugar.

There was something weird about Janus, as far as reactions go. She, ignored all of the things that could be considered useful to a human spiritualist. Fullbringer, or Quincy, or anything else. It was as if she had no idea what they were or couldn't feel that they did anything. Which, she couldn't but other versions of herself could. So, Janus looked out of place. She did wonder, as the man introduced himself how he was able to comunicate with Future Janus. She would reserve that line of questioning for later.

Then, she blurt out laughing. She saw a future in which he introduced the young woman next to him, as a princess of Hell. Then, he said it! Janus lost her mind laughing for a second before she realized, they were totally serious. She took a second to regain her composure as the woman next to her introduced herself as Snow? What kind of a name, Janus was really confused at this point but decided to wing it. She looked at her phone for a second before the man, Tendo said she was going to fight, in Soul Society? The nomenclature of this stuff really needed an overhaul. Future Janus whispered in her ear softly, and for those looking hard enough, they would see the other version briefly appear and talk to Janus. Our first trip to another dimension, what wonders await you? She asked Janus before vanishing.

Janus looked around as Tendo gave his explanation. Then the young woman said she would explain other things. "Janus, I'm a Diviner. Now, which dimension constitutes Hell, like which pantheon, what does it look like, which hell? Why does it use an archaic form of government in a monarchy like dimension 2 and 4? Do you have to be born there to be royalty? How come I don't see more of your kind around? Is the dimension able to sustain human life?" Janus had already begun following futures where she asked more questions. After all, Janus wanted to learn everything about every other dimension, cause one day, she would make sure they had no way back to hers.

Tensai has been spending most of his time trying to get as much as he could from Meiji. Not in terms of pieces of information, samples, or as a guinea pig. He practically used him as a living training dummy to make himself stronger and to test different applications of his Shikai. And ever since Yoshinori left the 2nd Division he was not allowed to see Taisho anymore but he didn't care about them very much. He was on his way to perform another test when he saw what happened to the containment unit that held Meiji.

A Gate of Hell opened as it was swallowed, most likely freeing Meiji or sucking him back in.

"But we made sure no matter what that his mask would not be broke how did a Hell of Gate get summoned,"
he thought to himself.

As he sees more Hell Gates open in the 12th Division's sector. With some leering at him angrily seeming to remember him from the events of the attack on Tokyo. And two who had mantis-like claws sticking out from the sleeves of their robes reminded him of one of two Hollows he killed who were assassins in their previous life.

"Well well well, a sight for sore eyes. It's going to be pretty cathartic killing you first," Slice responded.

"Kekeke, ever since we've been in Hell we've evolved into Arrancars and gotten much stronger since we last met, and now that you're all alone and severely outnumbered what better way to celebrate our freedom for  decapitating the guy who sent us there in the first place," Dice said.

It was then Tensai started chuckling and then broke into a fit of laughter. The Sinners were weirded and kind of creeped out by this. Especially due to the face he was making while laughing. He looked maniacal like some sort of anime supervillain.

He then stopped and then looked them with a stern cold look.

"You are not the only ones who have improved," Tensai stated.

Getting out his Zanpakuto he releases his full power and washes spiritual pressure over them frightening them and making some unable move due to the weight. With his knife-like Zanpakuto he then gives several precise dissections to all of them in a flash as he moved like a blur. As the only thing left were the corpses of dismembered Sinners that fell to the ground with a thud. All cut into equally divided pieces. He then looked over to the walls of Sereitei and sensed something outside it.

"The source is coming from Rukongai?"
Tensai thought.

He then noticed his Denreishinki alerting him of an incoming message. As he opens it he sees a request from his captain to take care of this by order of the first division Vice Captain. And it seemed his hunch was right as that area seems to be where he is tasked to go. Using Shunpo he quickly made his way over to this area and hopefully about to meet and face the one responsible. Ignoring any Sinner that would try to attack him.

"Nice to meet you, Janus and... Snow."

Tendo held his exposure, but deep within, he slightly cracked up at the sight of the white-haired girl. He did not remember seeing her in Tendo Shoten before, so she must have gotten the odorless perfume through second hand sources - possibly from one of the contacts he pulled to recruit her to the mission, even. He could only wonder if she knew that she was talking to the inventor of the perfume itself - though, ironically, it was originally designed to disguise Shinigami, not the other way around. Regardless, it could fool almost anyone, but not him.

Janus, meanwhile, acted somewhat... erratic. The introduction which Tendo made to the incident got the woman to break out to a laugh, followed by a barrage of questions concerning seemingly everything which popped in her head regarding Hell, the kingdom of Demons, and their proceedings. Tendo blinked for a second, unsure if he was not clear enough regarding explanations coming after the mission, but before he could continue, Princess Zarzil immediately fired up, shooting back:

"Talking of archaic, huh? The damn Shinigami live under a feudal regime copied straight off medieval-"

"Zarzil, please," Tendo suddenly shut her down - getting her own wording used against her left her far from happy however, and the Demon Princess stepped back slightly fuming. The shopkeeper, meanwhile, turned to Janus. "Good questions, you can use those as motivation. If you win and get back safely, I'll explain what's happening. Or she will. Either way."

Tendo then opened the door to Soul Society widely. "Well, off you go! And... just one last thing... don't tell anyone that we sent you there."

The fourth district of Rukongai, Forest Bend District, was one of the hardest afflicted by the Sinner invasion - after the first two waves of Hell inhabitants rolled across, the entire district turned dreadfully silent. Pluses had fled their homes en masse, most of those who did not escape or perish were now holed up in their homes, barricaded in their closets or basements with their families and hoping for the invasion to end soon. They could not even know if the Shinigami would come to their aid soon - they can be a pretty merciless and unpredictable lot sometimes.

Every once in a while, wind would blow across the empty streets, pushing leaves, twigs and a few loose buckets along. Sometimes an another party of vengeful Demons would rise from one of the opened Gates of Hell, giggling amongst themselves before flying off towards the closest concentration of spiritual energy. Aside for that, the entire district was more or less deserted.

The door leading from Tendo Shoten would bring the travellers to the inside of a modest, Japanese style paper house. A teapot and several cups were scattered by the room, the tea inside of the pot still warm. One cup was smashed, the liquid inside spilled across the wooden floor.

A slide of the door on the other side and then a quick trip through a corridor would lead the passengers outside, to an emptied street which led directly towards a nearest town square. It was more of a clearing, covered with rundown stone tiles, and having a small water fountain in the center - today, however, this was no ordinary water fountain like the thousands of others you can find in Soul Society. It glowed, it emitted a powerful and unique Reiryoku signature, and beneath the ability of the eye to see, it connected itself to each of the hundreds of Hell Gates opened across the dimension. Keeping just one Gate open was already a significant feat which required considerable Kido training - and yet this tiny shard of unknown origin was powerful enough to not just keep all of them open, but also have enough energy to spare.

In a sudden flash, Prince Ilvamal landed on the ground in front of the fountain, a slide of his feet picking up a small cloud of dust. His uninterested gaze turned to the side, and finally behind him, and his mind tracked energy signatures across the District.

"They have grown bolder since last millennium," the Demon Prince muttered to himself. What other explanation was there for several powers already closing in on him as they speak? Perhaps this era of being at the top of the world has left Gotei 13 overconfident, to the point where they believe that sending a suicide squad of Shinigami against the Hogyoku Shard will result in anything but death.

Ilvamal's Grimoire detached itself from the Prince's thigh and began floating next to him, awaiting command.

Hyakuji made haste, running towards the direction of the deeply affected region; leaping from one roof to another, scaling the walls of the taller buildings to get a bird's eye view while analyzing the condition of each of the disturbed areas further.

The situation in Seireitei seemed to be pretty mild compared to the others, a large number of shinigami from the different divisions were fighting off the sinners who were wreaking havoc, while some were aiding the members of the noble houses to evacuate from the scene. Looks like everything is handled pretty well here.

A large explosion was heard from outside Seireitei, Hyakuji immediately looked around, searching for the smoke where it came from, eventually realizing it was from the fourth district rukongai, not that far from the walls of Seireitei as he first believed, and so without wasting any second, he hurried to the said community.

As he closed the distance, he caught sight of a new gate opening up, which appeared to be larger at this range. From the gate, two sinners stepped out and stood suspended in the air at first, before blasting nearby houses they caught sight of. The area was already far too damaged as it is, everything was engulfed in fire while the houses were thoroughly destroyed; some pluses were even trapped in their crumbled homes.

Hyakuji soon drew out his wakizashi, stopping the enemies from causing further destruction. He vaulted towards the two sinners, striking one on of them on his chest. His blade was blocked in defense, the other immediately strike a countermove by dealing a sidekick to the unsuspecting shinigami--- or so they thought, the moment the kick seemed to land on Hyakuji’s body, he vanished from their sight, reappearing from behind as he hit them with black lightning, following up with a binding spell.

Considering they were after the demons and not these lesser beings, the shinigami left the scene as soon as he was certain the sinners were totally constrained, pulling out the pluses who were trapped before continuing his journey to the fourth district.

Throughout the stretch of the streets, the Third Seat bumped into several pluses fleeing for their lives, these people must be from the deeper part of the fourth district. It would be dangerous for them to remain on the paved road, so he looked around in search of a safe hideout for them. Not long after, he noticed an abandoned shop in one corner which still seemed sturdy so caught the attention of the victims to lead them there.

“Kimitachi! I know a place where you could be safe temporarily. Follow me,” Hyakuji instructed the pluses, leading them to the shop, “Don’t go out unless you hear a shinigami calling out for you. I am going to call a backup so they can fetch you and bring you to a safer place,” he commanded, as he pulled out his phone, sending the location to his subordinates directing them to protect and bring the rukongai residents to safety.

After attending to the distractions, he finally arrived at the scene, passing by a Japanese-styled paper house first before reaching the nearest town square. For a second, he glanced back, he was sure he had seen a gray spirit ribbon leading to that place, and in that instant, he knew, the message safely arrived in Hawaii, and Yukari accepted the mission which would explain why he could sense her reiryoku nearby. A smile formed on his lips, the first time he witnessed her skills was during their spar, and from that moment, he recognized her great potential as a fighter, thus, personally recommending her when Tendo sought his help in choosing people outside the spiritual realm to deal with the problem at hand.

At last, he reached the town square, and there stood, a strange guy with a fur coat stood near the fountain which was different from what it used to be. It was emanating with an insurmountable amount of spiritual energy, the same as the one he felt during the skirmish with Diana. With his sharp eyes, he could faintly see there were lines underneath, probably connecting it to somewhere, although he couldn’t make out whatever its purpose yet.

Hyakuji’s gaze shifted back to the guy who seemed uninterested and bored even with the chaos he brought with him... It was only at this point that he realized the guy wasn't wearing a mask, which gave him an idea that the fur coat guy must be different from the sinners he encountered earlier. He must be one of the demons the Vice-Captain was talking about a while back.

The demon seemed to be expecting a fight as his tome detached itself from one of his thighs and floated freely, the shinigami then drew out his zanpakuto in response, ready to make either an offense or defense, however the situation would unfold in the succeeding minutes.

Yukari watched as another fullbringer made her presence known and the first impression of her was sneezing without covering her nose. Disgusting. Black electric bolts immediately surrounded the hawaiian native’s body to protect herself from the germs that were spread out within Tendo’s shop. The smell of blood being burned by the sparks was evident, it was possible Janus’ sensitive nose had recently been bleeding by the scent alone, and the mysterious woman started speaking in riddles shortly after introducing herself. Dimensions that supported human life? What did the numbers even mean? As far as Yukari knew, the different planes of existence had names not exactly numbers, and something was amiss with her questioning.

Crimson colored eyes caught Tendo’s gaze, it seemed he was suspicious of Yukari, which startled her at first; completely unaware that only her visage was masked by the specialized odorless perfume and not her reiryoku as it had done for Hyakuji. The hollow taint in her soul was most likely the cause for her present appearance, she did not look like an ordinary plus, but at least she did not look like her usual self either which maintained her identity secret. Especially since this was not her first time in Soul Society, she would be in trouble with the First Division again, if she was caught a second time.

Tendo gave his instructions to walk through the portal, Yukari stepped inside first, and she found herself inside a traditional japanese style house, with a tea table and a broken ceramic cup; whoever lived here left in a great hurry. After continuing down a wooden hallway, entirely barefooted, she slid open the front entrance with her pale hand only stopping for a second to sense a red spirit ribbon in the distance overlooking a fountain.

A shingle from the roof of the wooden house fell inches from her face, the reiryoku of a masked sinner lunged a surprise attack, which Yukari immediately punched him square on the nose, her black electrified fist continued through his hollowed out face that shattered the mask to pieces which had prevented him from being chained to hell. At that moment, a Kushanāda’s massive blade pierced the sinner in the chest, rebinding his chain back to hell itself through a new gate. While there were other skeletal gates in the distance radiating a reiatsu similar to the Hogyoku shard, the new gate vanished after collecting the sinner, and it was obvious that a different force was at work with the battlefield of shinigami and sinners Yukari sensed through her spiritual abilities in the other districts.

All the specialized weight training paid off, without her nodachi, Yukari was reliant on her martial arts she learned at the academy in order to utilize spark of joy. As a close counter combatant, she was going to truly put all her physical prowess to the test. The teenager continued to walk over to the fountain area where Hyakuji was holding his blade out towards a mysterious man with a fur lined collar and a grimoire.

While she did not know all the exact details, her own personal life experiences held the clue, this was a secure and capture mission. The uncanny resemblance between Princess Zarzil and this demonic man that was putting her spiritual awareness into a spiral meant they were cut from the same cloth. Another prince perhaps? Zarzil did mention she was one of the three royal demons from hell. As for the type of relationship it was, it did not matter, Yukari was familiar with keeping her friends out of trouble by beating them up; this situation was not any different.

“Hello.” Yukari spoke up in a different sounding voice from her own, avoiding her gaze from Hyakuji when she addressed him, “I am Snow. Allow me to be of assistance, shinigami-sama.”

Janus left the shop through the gate as soon as the futures settled and the people who literally just said they would answer questions, didn't answer a dam thing. Figures, transdimensionals used Earth as a warzone and then did nothing useful. Oh wait, they relied on humans to solve their problems, even better! She looked disgusted, and remembered why she had so many problems with things like this as she exited the gate, and proceeded to fall to the ground grabbing her head the second she stepped through.

Futures flooded her mind, many included combat and it was like a towering wave slamming into her psyche and she found herself fritzing. Futures trying to move in different directions from her split out before she quaked and managed to get everything back under control. She pulled out her phone and stared at the charm on it until it slowed and stopped spinning. She looked around and tried to take stock of what had happened. So far she was in a small old house with some odds and ends around her but nothing immediately threatening. Which, was good for the moment. She pushed herself up and looked at the charm on her phone again.

It began spinning, slowly at first but eventually picking up speed until slowing again and finally stopping pointing some direction outside. Janus looked up and then put her phone at her side as she began to walk outside. Which, was chaos, she couldn't sense power, but the number of futures that ended in combat, or had combat, or where she found gates to some odd place were numerous, far moreso than usual. Serves them right for the fact that it basically was what happened to Earth on a daily basis. She looked around at the buildings and took a few pictures with her phone.

She labeled a new folder as "Dimension 2" for reference and then turned to look around again. When she saw the woman, Snow? Near some other thing and staring down a dude with a book, she realized this was probably a bad place to be and that, very likely she would just get in the way. Which was true, Janus was even more chaos to push on top of chaos, plus trying to explain her constructs in another dimension didn't seem like something she wanted to do. So, instead she started looking for a future where she hid until the bad stopped and these idiots all killed each other. As it stood, she would be no help at all. So, she decided to find a nearby place to watch.

Tensai was surprised to see the location for them to go to would be in the Rukongai of all places. This wasn't the district he was sent to. Know this was far nicer looking these people are luckier off than he was when he first came here. But still to see these Sinners wanting to rob them of what little they had left. It was downright infuriating to watch.

He slit a few Sinner throats and cut a few masks off to send them back where they came from, though with these multiple gates open continuously he knew it would be pointless. As more would just be pouring back out with some might even be the ones he already sent back coming once more to try to escape Hell's grasp. He wanted to just stand here and protect these people as long as he could. Though he knew deep down he had to think logically and the best course of action was cut off the source of this first.

Along the way he witnessed Hyakuji, he heard of the 1rst Division 3rd Seat but this is the first he has seen of him, he was also told in his order from his captain through the message he was sent about them being the one he would meet up with at the location he was sent to. Though he seems to be older than what he was told about by others. Though he sees that they also manage to save some of the Pluses here as well. He was surprised to see a Shinigami other than him going so far as to do that for those of Rukongai. After all, it is their fault they live in these conditions.

Tensai then followed the man hoping to introduce himself until he saw someone he recognized immediately, though what's worse he had a better feeling of his power than he did back when those Sinners made a portal in Osaka to get out of Hell. He was petrified, unable to move in a cold sweat staring at the Demon Prince. The one he heard about that was one of the three most powerful Demons here in Soul Society. He was confident about taking one of those Knights he heard about at the very least but this, this was not at all what he imagined he'd be facing so soon.

"Muimina Hyakuji," Tensai said his voice trembling.

"I believe that is you at least, I am Tensai Toshiaki 5th Seat of the 12th Division was told that I would be aiding you, but this...this is not at all what I anticipated!" Tensai said in shock.

"I've seen him before back during the first Sinner invasion in Osaka, that's Demon Prince Ilvamal, one of the Trifecta! The three most powerful Demons, that Sinner Meiji told me himself! There's no way we can handle something like this on our own!" Tensai said.

Then that was when he noticed the presence of Yukari, or at least to him it was some very powerful Plus he didn't know. There seemed to be another presence in hiding so it was four versus one. Could it be they actually could stand a chance he began to wonder with two Shinigami and two strange Pluses of abnormally high Spiritual energy? Still, though it's not like he has a choice in the matter. He couldn't let this needless bloodshed continue any longer, especially in the part of Soul Society he grew up in.

He then got out his Zanpakuto as his confidence returned, staring Ilvamal dead in the eyes.

The sacrificial lambs which Soul Society has sent to the Fourth District were closing in - Prince Ilvamal, as uninterested as he appeared, did in fact notice them. Once the first of the four assembled defenders, later introduced as Muimina Hyakuji, arrived to the square, the Demon glanced his way, a few pages in the floating Grimoire opening as he slightly turned. The draw of the Zanpakuto did not concern him or incite much reaction in general - he has seen many Shinigami just as brave and determined as him challenge him on the battlefield.

The Third Seat turned out to not be alone, however. A white haired Plus suddenly joined from the sidelines, introducing herself as "Snow" and offering her assistance to the Shinigami - the appearance got Prince Ilvamal to raise his eyebrow. Not only did he assume that all of the Pluses which were in this district have already been driven out or destroyed, but one with a Reiatsu level so high was a rare sight as well. At such a tier, she would certainly carry a high position in the ranks of the Shinigami, and yet her uniform was distinctly not one of theirs. Either something was missing which the Demon was not aware of, or she was one of those types who were unhappy with the way Gotei 13 is being run and so was staying independent. An another Plus, though a weaker one, observed the showdown from a distance - whether or not she believed she was actually able to hide from the Prince, he could register her presence, and plan accordingly.

The final member of the sacrificial squad was an another Shinigami - a faintly familiar one, and Ilvamal's suspicions got proven almost immediately when the green haired warrior, who introduced himself as Tensai Toshiaki, recognized the Demon Prince and explained who he was. This "Tensai" person knew far too much for an ordinary Shinigami - he knew about the Demons, he knew his rank, he even knew about the existence of the Trifecta.

Thankfully, the Shinigami immediately revealed his source. The Sinners.

Of course. Maybe they should not have been left in Soul Society for so long. That's reason enough to feed them to the Kushanada for a few times...

Pages in the floating Grimoire turned one after the other, while the book itself stopped right in front of the Demon, while he spoke:

"Thanks to your friend, I believe we have no need for further introductions."

Ilvamal placed his hand on the Grimoire and muttered its release sign.

"Go, and mark their death."

An explosion of energy followed, activating the Demon's primary ability. A flurry of bone outgrowths forced themselves both out of the caster and from the ground itself, lifting Ilvamal from the ground all while sending sharpened, heavy bones at all four of his opponents. The largest of the bones would seek to smash straight at the Shinigami and their allies, while the smaller ones would instead constrict, seeking to restrain and immobilize them.

"I offer you to not regret this decision, choosing me as the last battle of your-"

A powerful explosion suddenly rolled across the distance, caused by a gigantic bolt of lightning descending from above - the sudden crash, coupled with an enormous amount of spiritual energy emitted from within it, was enough to get the attention of almost every single living being for miles. From the resulting cloud of ash and smoke, a single figure flew out, backing away while watching the results of the attack with concern. Those who were familiar with his Reiatsu, or simply could see precisely from very, very far away, could recognize the tiny speck of a figure as Captain-Commander Rengoku Katsumoto.

Except, it was not a katana which was now in his hand, but rather a shakujo - a key-like metal pole with a golden finial by the handle, six smaller golden rings now dangling at the sides. The Captain-Commander's worries were soon proven correct, as a second speck suddenly forced itself out of the cloud, flying across the air and yelling:

"RENGOKU!!"

The Demon King was eager for revenge, clouded with a powerful reddish aura, and collided straight with the Captain-Commander, weapon clashing against a myriad of different magic spells thrown his way at once. Not only was it a light show anyone on the ground could see, but it also sent shock after shock with each collision, nauseating and painful to everyone who was not strong enough to endure it.

"Brother is fighting at full strength, it seems..." Ilvamal muttered under his breath, before turning his attention back to the quartet which challenged him.

While Hyakuji fixed his eyes to the enemy in front of him, he could sense his lover's spiritual signature approaching, until she stopped beside him and faced the demon. He caught in his peripheral vision that the girl’s appearance changed, it would only make sense since it’s how the perfume worked, yet, he could still vividly remember what she really looked like short blonde hair, eyes as pure as honey, face kissed by the sun. It might be strange to some, but right now, it was how he sees her this very moment.

The teenager then introduced herself by a different name, a smile formed on the shinigami's lips, as its Japanese equivalent was not that far from her own name.

“Great to see you, Yuki-chan. Thanks for heeding our call,” he said, as he turned to her and addressed her in her Japanese alias, before giving a wink.

The next one who arrived at the scene was the 5th seat in the Twelfth Division, while Hyakuji had heard and read some of his important contributions in studying the sinners, it was his first time meeting him personally. It was quite odd though that his voice trembled as he introduced himself. Did the genius from the 12th division hear some of the spreading rumors that he was too intimidating? Was he really that intimidating? Hyakuji wasn’t so sure what to make of it, until the 5th seat spoke about the enemy in front of them, saying that he was too powerful for them to handle.

“Welcome aboard the team, Toshiaki-san. A pleasure to meet you... No matter how powerful this guy is, he has to be stopped!”

It was also at this point that he sensed another reiryoku hiding somewhere. For sure, Tendo wouldn’t allow Yukari to go alone, therefore, she must’ve been accompanied by someone else. Even though Hyakuji trusted his lover could handle herself well, there was no way he would send her out alone in a foreign territory. Pretty sure the mysterious shop owner would do the same. However, he couldn’t understand why this person had to cower. Although he figured it could also be a form of strategy, thus, setting aside his personal feelings on the matter.

Before anyone could attack, the First Division Third Seat would command everyone, “Minna-san! Don’t you dare die on me!” Hinting that he alone bore the responsibility should anything bad happen to any of them. Of course, he would do anything in his power to avoid such an incident.

The demon, or as Tensai addressed him “Prince Ilvamal” activated his release, which caused a massive explosion of energy, when the dust settled, it revealed an outgrowth of bones coming out from the Prince himself, as well as on the ground-- a web of bones that could trap anyone who dare come near it. Yet, he didn’t stop from there, soon as he summoned this large structure, the appendages started to attack all three of them.

Hyakuji moved quickly to his right avoiding the largest accretion, yet was immediately constricted by the smaller ones, another one strike while he was constrained, he blocked the attack with his sword yet the appendage was quick that it still grazed him in his left arm. While it may seem disadvantageous to them, the Third Seat used this as an opportunity to test the new technique he learned during his training in the dangai. Infusing his dark reishi on the smaller bone restraining him, he would channel to the demon the same kind of pain he inflicted upon him.

When he was about to make a countermove, he heard another explosion from the sky, a massive thunderbolt, that could only come from someone very much familiar to him, Captain Commander Katsumoto.

“Taichou!” he would yell, a bit hopeful that the Commander himself might aid them, thus, increasing their chances of victory, yet another being came... stopping the Captain from invading the fight. The battle in the sky was intense, Hyakuji could only marvel at the skills of his superior. The spiritual pressure was also too heavy for him to overcome, there would only be one way to ease this feeling... “Bankai!” As soon as he said this, his wakizashi turned into a black blade nodachi, there also appeared a black katana on his right hand, the small bones constricting him melted from the surge of his reiatsu although he could still feel a stinging pain on his feet which would still slow him down a bit.

Hyakuji thought hard on his next move, perhaps, if he could blind the guy, then they could barrage an attack on the demon especially if the bone appendages would rely on the enemy's sight to attack. Using his nodachi, he stabbed the ground, causing the area to be covered in total darkness.

By the time Yukari raised her line of sight towards Hyakuji, she widened her crimson eyes in bewilderment when she realized how distinct he looked from a week ago, and she wondered what caused the sudden physical change if he had no reason to mask his identity in Soul Society. Being called Yuki was a surprise, it sounded fairly similar to her real name, and she was beginning to warm up to this new identity. The moment Tensai appeared, he was in a complete state of shock being in the presence of Prince Ilvamal by calling his name and explaining his association to Trifecta; he even shared his doubts of being able to defeat him so the teenager began to calculate the next course of action.

Yukari was not afraid of death due to her strong beliefs in the cycle of souls, as it was only the beginning for what her soul was capable of, and her determination remained unshaken regardless of the trouble she found herself in. At least if she were to die here, it would be with Hyakuji, and they would be able to live together in their next life instead of keeping their relationship secretly while living worlds apart. Ever since she developed a spark of joy, she experienced a multitude of battles, which allowed her to overcome her fear and excel her abilities to damage the enemy.

In the distance was an explosion of catastrophic proportions, she winced for a second from the pain of the powerful reiatsu radiating from none other than the Captain Commander, it was clear that he kept his reiryoku power level suppressed from her first encounter with the kindly visaged old man who pondered over executing her the last time they met.

This was the opportunity she needed, in order to concentrate her spiritual control to summon a hollowfied tiki to trap Prince Ilvamal, but was caught within a myriad of bones forming a web of the entire area. With bringer light glowing an eerie red aura on her bare feet, she was able to avoid injury, in her peripheral vision she noticed Hyakuji was already trapped by the bones.

“Prepare yourselves! Muimina-sama! Toshiaki-sama! Janus-san! I will buy you all the time you need in order to find an opening on Prince Ilvamal.”

While she lost sight of Janus, she figured the strange woman would be able to hear her, if the diviner was still nearby.

Darkness surrounded Prince Ilvamal, obstructing his vision long enough for a giant Tiki to materialize behind him, the construct opened its jaws and proceeded to swallow the demon whole into a trap. Once inside, he was pierced by the hollow construct twice. For as long as the Tiki remained, he would be restrained within, and persistently suffer until he discovered a way to break free.

Janus thought about what to do, from her little spot away from all the bad.  That was until the bookworm from hell decided to straight up summon bones of absolute insanity?  She saw futures, thousands if not more where she was impaled and hurt and impaled again and dead.  They went on and on in less than the amount of time it would have taken Barry Allen to blink, Janus watched how utterly outclassed she was.  She screamed, or maybe not, it was just one future as her mind buckled under the absolute terror of it all.  She wasn't supposed to be here, she needed to be somewhere else, that wasn't another dimension.  The ONLY saving grace was that while she was seeing herself die in thousands of ways, she had her phone in her hand as the bones all pierced through her and bound her to her location.

"Warning, Prime Janus has suffered a mental breakdown, Warning, Death Imminent.  Prime Janus has been deactivated to avoid death.  Restoring Default Factory Settings..."  Janus' completely monotone voice stated as the small charm began to glow and she pressed a button on her phone.  Janus' suspended body suddenly disappeared and reappeared a few inches away, no longer impaled by thousands of demonic bones from whatever dimension the prince of lunacy had come from.  She then pressed another button on the phone.  "Warning, the Army of Janus will now be activated."   It stated in the same deadpan voice.  A Janus, dressed in the black robes of the shinigami stepped out from her body and then rushed the bone wielding nerd and attempted to bash at his head with the pommel of her zanpakutou before vanishing as quickly as it had arrived.  "Warning, Due to the Extreme level of potential danger, Janus Prime is most likely a detriment to currently designated Allies."

It was then he took notice of Muimina calling the one called Snow Yuki-san, in fact, her using the honorific of sama towards the Shinigami reminded him of someone he met recently and fought against who had a Quincy by their side. A certain false ryoga who somehow got to Soul Society by accident. Though he will have to see more of her skills in action before he can be sure. He then witnesses his opponent wasting no more time as they begin summoning the same bones he used to drag the Sinners from Osaka but to Hell. With Shunpo activated he dodged most of the bones, until he became surrounded from all angles with no way of escaping. Thinking quickly he uses a defensive Kido to aide him.

"BAKUDŌ #44: SEKISHO (BARRIER)!" he yells out before surrounded by a wall of energy that blocks most of the attacks that prevent his movement from being restricted.

He then looks over to the distance to see a fight between titans, their captain commander Rengoku to the Demon King himself. As the fight is enough to start to squeeze his soul from the weight of the pressure. Even his hair can no longer stand up from the resulting pressure they feel. It is then that he notices something interesting from Muimina, something he thought he was close to obtaining, Bankai. Why 1rst Division members are some of the best there is he is still surprised to see Bankai being used by another seat officer before he has the chance to himself.

Then he witnesses Snow use some strange tiki magic to trap the Demon Prince. As the other Plus seems to be doing something strange with their phone and somehow a Shinigami is summoned but they do not look familiar. Such strange and powerful allies, they might stand a chance. Now it's his turn, as he aims his own Zanpakuto into his torso. Before beginning to release his own Spiritual Pressure in hopes of catching Ilvamal off guard with his own power.

"Surpass them all, Shinka Rasen," he said.

As his Zanpakuto turned into a strange needle with a strange syringe with some unknown green fluid inside it before he proceeds to stab himself with it and injects the fluid into him increasing his power even further.

"No point in trying to face an opponent who's stronger than you without going all out," Tensai said.
