In one swift combination, it was over - Rekka put up a good fight while Hibano had still suppressed the full extent of Soul Fusion, but he could not last when the teenage Fullbringer tapped into the full extent of his abilities. After he sent the last slash, and his eyes confirmed that the Shinigami was collapsing to the rooftop, Hibano stepped back, briefly spun the weapon in his hand and then shoved it to its sheath with a loud clang.
In his final words before likely losing consciousness, Rekka took a page out of Niji's book - now, he declared that the woman sealed inside of his body cannot be released, for it was, apparently, too much of a threat. A world shattering threat.
Hibano was not amused. A part of his mind wanted to slam a fist across the Shinigami's face, show the man what happens for such insults, but he exercised restraint, for now. Instead, he answered:
"If all Shinigami are going to be like you... then I'm going to fight every last one of you."
Who were they to deny him his quest? His purpose? If he will need to fight through all of them to be a hero and save his mother, then so be it. He was equipped for such a mission, and the last thing he should do is hesitate.
Hibano turned around and sped past the rooftops, easily leaping over the streets and buildings and leaving Rekka behind.
