Nezuel was starting to lose control of himself. As the multitude of souls within his body and blood started to feed on sweet sweet quincy riatsu they got louder and louder, harder to control over the reigns of that bastard ringmaster of theirs. He kept his hands to his head, not seeing as one of the arrows Laz had sent hit its mark harder than anything before. Yet he didn't seem to notice as it burned away at his flesh...the second arrow being caught in one of the ravenous maws around Nezuel and being eaten and absorbed.

He held up a hand then, not his own, but one of the multitude as it pointed at Lazarus. The manacles became a multitude, hands sprouting around the quincy and trying to bind his even further as a sphere of blood came up and around the quincy, blocking him from view. With Lazarus dealt with for at least a little while he tried to get control of himself, reaching deep in him and trying to figure out just how he could hold onto this power...this amazing power, for a little while longer. He didn't need it to defeat Lazarus, true, but he needed it if he was going to become strong enough to turn the tables on the primera and the Queen.

This game of give and take was starting to take it's toll on him, having lost almost all of his Reishi while simultaneously being locked in place by this strange spell of blood and chain. It was all he could do to try and take some back, though it was still a net loss as far as he was concerned. To make matters worse some sort of orb was forming around him to further block him rom Nezuel, the sight of the hollow struggling with something being the last sight before he was trapped in the darkness of the blood sphere.



Lazarus struggled against his restraints for a handful of seconds, trying to figure out the best way to get out of them without wasting more energy. He did what all Quincy did best, he would start to pull reishi from the the bonds of the spell, weakening the overall structure of it so it would be thinner, more breakable. After nearly a minute of doing this, Lazarus would inhale deeply, and with the exhale he would use every bit of his strength to push against his bindings. One crack, two cracks, he was pushing with everything his had to try and get out, and with a final burst of strength the bindings around him would shatter. Now he was left in the orb, brow raised as he started tapping on it, considering doing the same with it as what he had just done to the spells that held him moments ago.

Nezuel was falling, failing, drowning in a sea of his own riatsu.  He could taste Laz's riatsu and reishi on a thousand thousand different lips, tongue scrapping across flesh long since dead, eyes looking for prey and seeing more, wanting more.  He had been in control too longer...longer than he had dared hoped, longer than the time he'd seen a blonde haired shinigami cut in half.  It was going to be too much...and he had to stop it.  Lazarus would be contained for a while, he knew.  While he hadn't used kido the abilities of his resurrection was close enough in how it acted for him to know that he had time.

He drew into himself, grabbing at the different strands inside of him, pulling on all the reishi he had absorbed from the quincy.  Hollows appeared around them, falling to the ground as he drew in their trace amounts of reishi hardly an afterthought compared to the quality and quantity he needed.  He was bareley able to hold it in his mind, two trembling hands over that power, bucking and kicking.  Then he flung it away, each eye and mouth looking to the sky as they cried for their mean, a red pillar of riatsu rising high into the sky.

He had set the beacon, called for aid.   He wondered if anyone would answer it or would shinigami be the first....quincies perhaps...maybe even the humans.  With a thought, he turned back into his smaller form, blood around Lazarus burning away even as he broke the bonds around him.  Nezuel was tired, not physically or spiritually...but mentally.  He gave the quincy a small smile...before falling to the ground.

Lazarus would feel the bonds of the dome weaken as if responding to Nezuel directly, this made it much easier to shatter the blood prison and free himself, though the pained expression and pillar of reiatsu were not a good sight to see. He was still being drained of reishi, though not at such an alarming rate, and it gave him the opportunity to gain more back from around him. With a groan and the feeling of his skin being so hot it might catch fire, he would give chase to the arrancar. It was a parallel to their first fight in the sense that now he would be going to the aid of Nezuel, which was quite the opposite the last time.



While he was still burning from the effects, he would attempt to catch the smaller body in his arms, keeping a keep eye and mind out for any who would be on their way to the beacon of reiatsu that the hollow had given off. Even in this state he wasn't sure if the fight was over, though he knew that if nothing was to be done about the burning effects on them both they would likely pass out in rapid succession.



"Please tell me you've calmed down enough to listen to reason..."

"Of course I have my dear." Nez would say, somewhat delirious as he felt the cold wind he was falling through stopped and replaced by the warm tingly hands of a certain quincy boy.  Nez's hand came up to run along Lazarus'  cheek as he smiled up at the boy, eyes closed buy envisioning his face, his expression...likely an expression that was far gentler than the one he was actually wearing.  "You know...you still owe me a favor and I owe you one." Nez would pull on Laz's collar as his hand drifted down, weakly trying to pull his face closer for an obvious reason and reenactment of their first fight.

"I sent out alot of riatsu just then." he'd continue, dropping his hand and giving up the effort due to how tired he was.  It wasn't a physical tiredness like Lazarus was likely feeling, his reishi forcibly drained and siphoned out of him by Nezuel but...it had taken mental effort to stay under control for so long.  "Takano or Gaia might sense it, know something is up...until then you have to leave me, the hollows arn't going to stop coming for me and I don't want you to get hurt doing something foolish."

Lazarus would land them in the darkness of an alley, one of the cleaner ones as to try and keep from doing more harm than good. A few quiet words were spoken and he would cast a weak healing spell on himself, then on Nezuel, hoping to would get both of them through the worst of the battles damage. It was all he could do for the hollow in his arms, and as he lay him against one of the walls, he looked up at the night sky, admonishing himself for being unable to help any further. While it was probably true tat he wouldn't be safe, a part of him didn't want to leave the other behind in some dank dark alleyway, hollows and shinigami alike could find him and deal a finishing blow. He raked his fingers through his hair and sighed deeply, pulling a card from his back pocket and a pen from his jacket. Quickly writing down the number and extension fr his personal phone, along with a small note for if one of the Haven members if they found the arrancar.



"Keep to the shadows, suppress your reiatsu if you can, contact me when you're in better shape and we'll figure out what to do about your situation..."



If Nezuel hadn't succumbed to the weight of fatigue already he'd have felt the card being put in the collar of his shirt, half peeking out to ensure someone could see it if it fell out. Whether real or a hallucination brought on by the mental strain, he might also feel the lips of the quincy on his cheek for a moment, then hear the hasty footsteps of his shoes on the pavement as Lazarus made his escape. He took one last look over his shoulder at Nezuel before vanishing into the sea of umbrella's and people trying to get out of the rain.
