His bolt landing amongst a cloud of his opponent's beetles almost didn't phase him. With an unconscious click of his tongue, he acknowledged the beetle's guard, but his eyes were not filled with the contempt the sound implied. Nom, They were empty yet focused. He was now in the zone now. With the world burning all around him, he snapped his legs up into his chest making a curled up ball. This was enough for him to narrowly avoid the Kare Bosuke sent his way. In this moment he casted his own Kare pulling a torrent of flames from behind him towards himself and Bosuke.

Anyone would think this was a self harming move at first, but it was no so simple. As Bosuke's blade came to bear against the curled up and defenseless target, Sachio would seemingly lean to the side and step off of Bosuke's blade. Sachio would use his own Shunpo lifting him up into the air away from the flames leaving Bosuke to deal with it from his front. As the young third seat descended he would aim a pair of aggressive downward slashes timed to strike from above after the wave of flames covered Bosuke. A slight grin crept across the Miura heir's face. The thrill of even combat in such a precarious and poetic place gripped him.

“Hmm..?

From the battle up to this point Sachio had a different poise about him, an air of confidence that seemed to be backed by his apparent skills and abilities. They had been tit for tat, craftily attacking, defending, and evading one another as if their bout was a choreographed stage play. As the dojo began to burn through the last of its foundational elements, the last thing he expected his sparring partner to do was curl up into a ball.

It seemed like perhaps the scarfed shinigami had given up, but it could not have been a coincidence that this new fetal position allowed him to casually dodge his Kare attack? Maybe it was some sort of unconventional technique? Or perhaps he was trying to showboat? In either case, the giant would proceed with his onslaught until there was verbal confirmation of any stoppage.

As he drew his tomahawking strike around he was met with a torrent of fire agitated and directed by his opponent. It was abrupt enough to throw off his precision, missing his strike narrowly as Sachio used his zanpakuto as a stepping stone for his upward shunpo. However Bosake’s senses were focused, and he was able to rebound off of the momentum of his missed strike and swing his blade around to fan the flames to keep from harm. As he looked above he saw Sachio’s empty yet focused eyes baring down on him as his thrill filled grin gave away his serious intent.

With a focused breath the giant steadied himself, planting his feet like the immovable roots of a tree and collided the maw of his insectoid mask face first into Sachio’s slashing zanpakuto. The wave of force from the collision caused the burning ground beneath them to jolt as Bosake absorbed the power of the strikes, shrugging them off as if he were a man possessed. In immediate response while Sachio was still in the air, he flared up his reiatsu, filling it with static electricity as his mask quickly turned blue as it gathered and concentrated energy.

“Byakurai!”

He would exclaim as the alloy of his mask would shoot forth a highly concentrated beam of electricity towards Sachio. Then with a swift upward jump of his own, he would follow up his bolt with a heavy two handed upward swing of his blade with the help of his final scarab, looking to slice Sachio diagonally across the chest in dramatic fashion.

“Huuaaahhhh!”

Bosake shouted in an exerted effort as he and his heavy byakurai blasted through the roof of the dojo simultaneously, holding the form of his strike in the air across the afternoon sun. He would then rapidly descend like a boulder falling from the sky, landing in a slightly cratered quake just outside of the dojo. The sound of snapping wood and consuming fire would fill the area as the building began to collapse in on itself from the compromising force of what would seem to be his final attack. Through the drama of it all he would turn to try and find Sachio, hoping he didn’t get too carried away in the climax of their duel.

A headbutt... HAHAHA! Sachio couldn't help but be tickled by the sheer absurdity of a headbutt being used against a blade. However he didn't skip a beat on observing Bosuke's next move. The mask he wore became a totally different color. The blue reishi of the electric attack Byakurai, was building.

Sachio didn't hesitate to build his own Reiatsu to the height of his capability. More, More, More, More!!! His power crashed through the burning roof as electricity coursed around his blades.

Once Bosuke's blinding Byakurai was sent towards him he used the man's masks as leverage to move himself quickly out of the way. The next attack a swift and powerful upward slash would have usually been the decisive blow. The electric reshi that surged through Sachio allowed him to dodge midair one final time landing under Bosuke. He pointed his blades towards the man and then pushed them into his opponent's chest. Byakurai!!! The lighting would surge outward towards Bosuke. Dancing off of the blade in Sachio's final attack.

After, that moment Sachio's Reshi simply stopped flowing in half of his body as if something had stopped it. Tch, not again... Sachio seemed almost stuck. With a mighty crack barts of the building started to collapse and the smoke was filling the air. Sachio's eyes once completely focused started to water slightly.

Bosuke, I think the time to fight tis over. We'll call it a draw? Let's get out of here! Sachio stepped back and sheathed his blades. With a short bow, he used shunpo to get outside of the building a safe distance away and waited for Bosuke to do the same.

Sachio’s maniacal laughter during their final exchange reminded him of his bout with Koshou. Not so much that the beast of the 11th division had laughed as well, but more so reminiscent of the excitement that ensued for him during the fight. It was hard to tell if Sachio’s laughter was from the thrill of the battle, or perhaps his unorthodox methods. Bosake’s mask held firm regardless as Sachio used it as momentum to dodge his byakurai while performing a final patented airborne dodge against his ascending strike.

As his scarfed opponent would land beneath him, the giant would enhance his speed with reishi, performing a Shunpo that would leave an afterimage where Sachio would attempt to push his blades. The resulting pair of Byakurai would miss his backside by a hair as he shot past the afternoon sun. As Bosake cleared the crumbling dojo he sensed a hard stop in Sachio’s reishi, but his concern was quickly quelled after finding him outside of the building a safe distance away shortly thereafter.

“A draw seems more than fair, it doesn’t seem like either of us are too worse for wear. Your skills are rather impressive I must say, it was difficult keeping your dual zanpakuto at bay.” He replied as he drew closer to Sachio on the outskirts, watching the dojo’s final extremities collapse and burn into a singular pile of flaming rubble.

“I appreciate your help and won’t take up anymore of your day. It was a pleasure to meet and spar against you, and if you need any assistance in the future, do not hesitate to ask. Farewell Miura Sachio of the 6th Division .” Bosake added as he nodded respectfully and took his leave from the area, wondering when the two of them might cross paths again.

The Duel was done, and the condemned building was crumbling in the wake of their mighty clash. Sachio was pleased to see that Bosuke had escaped the building no worse for wear.

The 6th division member wondered if his large 7th division acquaintance would question his strange spiritual anomily, but it seemed he was content with letting it alone. Sachio wouldn't quite be able to explain it himself if he was asked anyhow.

The duel was a great change of pace! I didn't mind at all helping honor an old Dojo nor assisting in Shinigami duties. He commented attempting to ease an debt possibly felt. You're skills are more than impressive. I wonder if I have any skill at all with how easily you evaded or blocked even my most keen of strikes, but still your words are appreciated. He humbled himself and paid respect to Bosuke's skills. There was much to learn if this was the level of a rank and file Shinigami then he truly needed to become stronger fast.

With the draw agreed upon and the task complete there as nothing left to do but go about his day once more. A pleasant walk while he still had the freedom a rare day like this afforded him. Sachio waved his fellow Shinigami off and went on his marry way.
