Far above one of the northern districts of Rukongai the sky seemed to shudder then split open.  A mouth into the black void of the stuff between dimensions could be seen by those who were looking up.  Yet the arrancar who had opened up said portal from one world to another had been lucky, it seemed, for it would be hard to spot the garganta opening while it was nighttime.  With barely a sound, a white clad figure exited the mouth of the garganta, his hand reaching behind him to close it.  He had suppressed his riatsu to an almost mortal like amount before he had opened the exit just to be safe and sure he wouldn't be noticed by any wandering or patrolling shinigami in the area.

He slowly started to descend upon a reishi platform he made under him, carefully looking around at the ground beneath him for a good spot to hide.  Yet the danger to this particular arrancar didn't come from the ground and any shinigami below him but from hollows above him.  The sky rippled open like wet tissue, only letting the upper half of a hollow through a kumon.  Its hand reached out, clawing into his platform and sending him tumbling down into the ground below.

Luckily for the arrancar it seemed like his hierro had softened the blow...but it did seem like some of the wounds he had received from Rekka had opened up.  WIth a grunt, he got up, noticing he was in somewhat of a crater from his landing.  He climbed out, moving slowly, only to come face to face with the mask of the hollow that had fumbled his gentle descent.  With a growl he put his hand through the thing's face, taking a piece of it as dinner and revenge for the trouble it had caused him.

WIth that out of the way he started to look around, worried that the sound of his impact might have attracted some unwanted attention.  He knew that the part of Soul Society he was in was rather large and differed based on its closeness to the capital...but he couldn't tell if this was meant to be a well-off and close section or a slum ridden mess.  He supposed only time would tell.  Hopefully he had time to find a hiding spot before any shinigami spotted him.

It's sheer luck that finds Hattori Koshou out on patrol this night. Twenty years and more he'd spent wandering the Rukon districts with no aim and no desire except to hold onto what little he had, and what little he'd been given. Nights like these, the newly assigned Soul Reaper often liked to take patrols out into the Districts that didn't see as much enforcement from the Seireitei just because of those memories, and those humble beginnings that weren't so far behind him after all.

The sound of the crash comes echoing from some distance away, and while he doesn't sense anything suspicious right away that kind of activity surely has to mean something is going down. Swift steps start the new member of Division Eleven running across the rooftops as he makes his way even further from the safety of the lower Districts and out into the Middle Districts. Through the night, the Shihakusho makes it easy for him to blend in with the shadows, his form fading and reappearing like a silhouette some distance ahead; never losing speed never losing momentum. 'I wonder what we've got out here ... that wasn't some scummy gang from the Rukon ... but no alarms. Can't hurt to take a peek .. ' As the Shinigami grows nearer to the site of what appears to be some kind of crash, he slows his pace a breath or two but no more.

"I don't want any trouble."

The arrancar would say, holding up his hands as the three figures in front of him glared at him menacingly.  It seemed like the arrancar had the luck to not run into any shinigami...but not enough to continue unimpeded throughout the spirit inhabited sections of Soul Society.  Three what could only be gang members stood in front of him, waving around bats and pipes like they wouldn't just bounce off his skin.   It wasn't their fault, he'd suppressed his riatsu and hidden his hollow hole so no one would know what he was at a glance.  At most they knew he carried a sword but from his white garb he obviously wasn't a shinigami.

Yet they didn't seem to care that he didn't want violence, perhaps seeing that sword made them think it was valuable.  Yet as one of the thugs stepped forward he stopped as his chest exploded from a large tail moving through him towards the arrancar.  Nezuel sidestepped, sword coming out of its sheath and swinging down to cut the tail off and free the dead spirit in one swift move.  With a scream, the two other thugs ran off screaming, dropping their weapons as a lizard like hollow stood its ground in front of him.

It didn't take him long to get rid of it, honestly, a single use of Hado #4 creating another hole in the things head and mask soon enough.  It had only managed to swipe at him a few times, ripping his clothes and revealing his hollow hole and mask fragment near the base of his neck.  Once the thing was dealt with though, he simply gathered some nearby reishi and prepared the outfit, good as new.  With that done he looked around, glancing at the shadows and other odd angles...what were the chances anyone had seen that exchange?

That, Koshou definitely heard, the Shinigami picking up the pace again  before he finds himself within eyesight of the activity going down. He watches the white-garbed man blow away the Hollow with Kido, and spots the sword on the man's hip. 'Aha .. Ryoka? Maybe ..' he thinks to himself before he's shifting forward. Rapid steps close the distance until he's suddenly using his final step to push off the a rooftop and launch himself forward. Falling with practice if not grace from the air, he finally manages to catch up to the scene and he's landing within the smoke of the kido explosion and the remnants of the hollow that once was but is no more. 

"And who are you, making trouble this late at night out here?" The voice comes calling out as the smoke dissipates to reveal the Soul Reaper's Shihakusho, the stark contrast in opposite to the man standing opposite him among the broad streets and rundown buildings of the Middle Districts here in the Rukongai. "It doesn't seem like this your neck of the woods!" He stands at the ready, hand on the pommel of his sword. Suppressed as he is, there's no reason for Hattori not to be confident in his posture, staring down the other man with nothing less than simple, reckless eagerness to see the fight through if that's what's on this intruder's mind.

Nezuel mentally groaned as he heard yet another interruption to his plans to invade Soul Society and live there rent-free.  There were a few good things about this...and a few bad.  The first was that he didn't feel any more hollows coming after him in the immediate area, meaning this was a shinigami...yet a shinigami was problematic.  At the same time he didn't seem particularly strong so perhaps he could capture him and use him as a source of information for the best place to lie low for a while. 

"You're rather right on the second account." Nezuel would say, turning to face the shinigami fully.  His eyes would narrow as he flicked his blade wiping the blood of his enemy on the ground before sheathing his sword again.  It wasn't that he didn't think the shinigami was weak enough that he didn't need it...he just preferred to fight without it. 

"And on account of the first...I can't really tell you that...but I can't let you run off and tell your bosses that you saw me."  Nezuel would release his riatsu, letting it flare just high enough to match the shinigami before him.  He didn't want to stand out and releasing all of his power here in Soul Society might draw unwanted attention.  His riatsu was definatly not that of a shinigami...it was darker, much darker.  As it rushed over the shinigami he could almost feel hands clinging to him, grasping at him and the whispers of the dead trying to enter his ears.  He was something wrong....yet he'd used kido and had something akin to a zanpaktou.  "Defend yourself, shinigami."

As the man before him unleashes the restraint on his reiatsu, Hattori Koshou grits his teeth at the feel of it pushing back with his own as he feels that sense of wrongness come upon him. Pushing with his strength to stave off that feeling, his own spiritual pressure feels like the crawling current of unregulated electricity. Raw power and energy following the path of least resistance until it's guided into surges of refined peaks in short but powerful bursts.

"Whatever you are, Ryoka, and wherever you come from -" He draws his Zanpakuto with a smooth form, textbook as if the simple act of drawing his sword had been practiced a thousand times. The blade doesn't appear to be made of steel though it's edge is certainly just as sharp, and just as strong. In the light of the moon, what little of it there is, the blade carries the yellowish tinge of beaten gold, or brass. The blade raises to point at the man who stands opposite him to punctuate his point. "You aren't welcome here. These people are under the protection of the Seireitei, and the Gotei. Prepare yourself, Ryoka! Your opponent is Hattori Koshou! The Animal of Division Eleven!" He pauses, his expression turning into a frown. The cigarette that dangles from the corner of his mouth perches dangerously as he shakes his head, clearly not liking the sound of this self-proclaimed nick-name. "No ... that's no good. Still!" There's a sound as he lifts his blade at the ready and then he's whipping forward to engage the enemy. Honing his focus, he sharpens the edge of his blade with the raw essense of his reiatsu and in twin succession like the flashes of lightning, his Zanpakuto reaches out to strike at the man's defenses!

Nezuel shook his head as he felt the shinigami's riatsu flare out and contend with his own. His hair felt like it might rise up any minute. What was it with these shinigami and their elements, Rekka had used flames and now he could only assume that this shinigami was going to use electricity. He wonder how'd he fair against any other elements these shinigami could throw out.

The shinigami had some sort of title that he had for himself. It was something that Nezuel could understand, not necessarily apart from the order and seat positions the shinigami used but something else. Nezuel himself held a title amongst the hollows of hueco mundo...or perhaps that had been eclipsed by the word traitor that was no doubt now tied to him.

Nezuel's hand came up to stop the shinigami's strike, catching the blade in his hand and sending sparks out as it hit against his iron skin. It looked cool but truth be told he was sluggish, old wounds opening up and he had only caught the blade because he knew he couldn't dodge.

"I think...Beast of squad eleven might be rather cool." he'd say with a shrug before bringing up his other hand and sending out a wave of ice at the shinigami. "BAKUDŌ #33: SŌEIGEKI" With that done he'd let go of the blade, stepping into the shinigami's guard as he brought both fists forward, trying to hit the shinigami's chest.

With a swift jump backward as the white-garbed man released his blade, Koshou turns it aside, swiping this way and that as he tries to use his reflexes to defend against the incoming sleet and frozen winds that come pelting in his direction. It's pure luck that sees the flat of his blade run into the side of the man's fist as he launches it inward, stepping forward to match that hop backward with a grace that seems to match that absolute lack thereof that Koshou displays. The cloth of his Shihakusho was stiff, as frozen as his limbs as his luck more than his skill truly seems to give him that glancing parry of the fists that come blurring through his defense.

"Beast of Squad Eleven ... hrm" The Soul Reaper muses, the subtle changing of the word giving it some sense of ring to it, more than the other at any rate. Pushed back, he grits his teeth before trying to shift his step to gain enough separation to bring his sword to bear. With a push of his reishi, he leap forward that feral grin still plastered firmly in place. Crags of pale blue lighting begin to crackle and wreathe about the golden blade in Hattori's hand and he hammeris it toward his enemy with fresh force. True enough, whether the nature of the kido or the nature of his affinity the electricity charges almost naturally around the sword in his hand and that impact comes with the discharge of that static and that kinetic force. "I like it!" He screams as he smashes at the man's defense. With an extra push of the blade, he reaches out to try and grasp at the opponent's gi. "Bakudo number four! Kare!"

Even among the ranks of Hueco Mundo the reputation of the 11th division was well known. They tended to stay away from one of the main branches of the Gotei's combat arts...kido. As far as he knew, they liked swinging their sword at their enemies to an almost fanatical degree. It was with suprise, then, that the shinigami's hand wrapped around his cloths and the spread around his body. He supposed it was one way to ge around his hierro but the genius of it was lost on him as his entire body felt like it was on fire. Combine that with the electricity on the blade and the wounds it left on his body...he felt like he might actually need to get a little serious with this one.

The sound of static sounded in the air as he used sonido to move away from the shinigami after breaking the grapple. He appeared a little ways away, swiping a hand at the burns that were now on his clothes. "You're welcome...but if you make it big I might have to ask you for some credit for the name." He smiled as he held up a finger at the shinigami. "Your kido seems rudimentary...but I heard the 11th doesn't like using it..." Electricity circled his hand as he started to chant. "Tame the wrath of Jupiter, call it forth to be used by a mortal hand. Hado #4: Byakurai"

Three rays of light erupted from his hand as he finished the kido incantation. Yet a fourth ray of lightning hid among the blue lightning, crackling and snaking its way towards the shinigami. Unlike the other three, its purpose wasn't to damage the shinigami but bind him and possibly make the hado spells hit more accuratly.

Koshou only has a moment's time as he sees not one but several beams of lightning beginning to scrawl their way across the air toward him with alarming speed. "Agh!" He turns his blade to the side, in a defensive posture as the blasts of reishi come barreling into him! The solid thump of impact rings out with resounding, pounding echoes of sound that kick up a large cloud of dust and smoke and even small flickers and sparks of residual energy as the remains of the attack slowly begin to dissipate .. 

"Sekisho ..." the gravelly baritone of the young Soul Reaper's voice come muttering out of the cloud, and as the dust begins to clear the shape of his silhouette begins to take form among the cloud. Clearing further, Koshou still stands in that defensive posture though he breathes heavily in the face of the barrage of attacks! The soft sheen of reishi glints across the cloth of his Shihakusho now, giving the cloth an almost metallic appearance as the Soul Reaper moves. There's a faint smirk on the man's face, a hand shifting to rub some dirt from hi face which only makes it worse and not better. "It's true, that we don't favor kido .. but I've never understood that entirely." He flicks his sword, clearing the last wisps of dust away from his face. "A master of the sword still dons armor, he should expend every effort to keep legs standing, and his weapon held high!

All the while as he speaks, energy builds up around the blade in Hattori's hand and he moves forward once more to try and close that distance. Still moving stiffly from the sharp cold that refused to leave his bones entirely, he can't help but hold himself back somewhat. He attacks at the invader, quick and defensive blows meant simply to drive the warrior backward.

Nezuel had a rather complicated history when it came to one of the kido that the shinigami before him knew and used. To put it simply...he hated it. He still had flashbacks to his first fight against a shinigami while he had still been a brand new arrancar. The loss of the fight had given him a debt to pay off in the form of a favor. In many ways it was that event that led him here to this moment now.

Unfortunately seeing that kido put him in a bad mood.

As the shinigami came at him with more attacks, the arrancar held up a hand and an almost invisible barrier appeared before him. The barrier didn't stop the shinigami's attack but instead broke as the sword swung through it, converting the attack into the shinigami's own trap as the shards of kido fell towards the shinigami's body in sharp jagged lines. For the attack itself Nezuel held up a hand, earning him a few gashes that bled a little more than they should due to the shinigami's previous attacks.

He held up his other hand, cold air gathering around it once more as he used the same kido that had been so effective on the shinigami before. Ice and cold air moved towards the shinigaim but this time there was a different spell hidden inside, the low level kare intent on locking up the shinigami's movments by forcing his reishi into the shinigami's body.

"I don't want to kill you shinigami...but you're making it hard to keep saying that..."

Koshou's eyes widen just as the barrier shatters and fragments into small splinters that spread and shower all around him. Trying to stop his momentum, he pulls back but it's not enough. Dozens of splintered shards of energy slam and slash into him with a rough force that tries to pierce through the armor-like reishi that coats his Shihakusho. Some of them hit bare skin, thin ribbons of red beginning to trickle in whiplash thin streaks cross his forearms and his face. Hopping backward, he only has time once more to put his sword up into defensive position as that sleet and ice comes crashing through the air and into him again, plunging him into the midst of what feels like a blizzard! 

"HYA!" The Soul Reaper's sword comes slashing down, the wave of displaced air and force whooshing forward to push and split through the incoming barrage of sleet and snow. That moment of clarity gives him the warning he needs, narrowly dodging the flash of kido that comes reaching for him. He dodges to the side, new frost and stiffness clinging to his clothing as the armor he 'wears' offers little protection against it. "Good!" He hollers out toward the man, shifting his grip suddenly on his sword. He holds in reverse, the back of the blade curving in front of him and along the length of his forearm. The edge points toward the other combatant, and with a quick step forward, Hattori Koshou uses the momentum of a spin to build up kinetic energy which crackles around his blade like electricity before unleashing a pair of back-handed slices toward the other's defenses. As they move, the energy surrounding the blade tries to spread and crackle like a blanket of sizzling energy to wash over his enemy in a wave that tries to wound, and burn its way along his flesh. Pressing into the attack as best he can, he suddenly releases up the pressure of it to try and hop backward to put some distance between them once more. 

"Where'd be the fun, otherwise?" Koshou pants, his breath coming shallow.

"Are you suicidal?" the arrancar asked looking at the way the shinigami didn't seem to care about whether he lived or died. "You do realize that if I kill you you're not going to enter the cycle of reincarnation?" the hollow made another screen of invisible force between him and the shinigami's next moves and just like before the attacks cut right through it. Yet as it shattered this time the shards actually turned and then shot at the shinigami.

Detecting something ominous from the black slashes, the arrancar decided to use another defensive kido resulting in a layer of protection around himself that negated the burns that would have wracked him should he have failed. Honestly, what was it with shinigami and their flames, he had enough burn marks on his body from Rekka.

"Then again I hear your division is rather...eccentric? Honestly, I might consider joining them if all they care about it battle power." The shinigami before him was getting tired Nezuel's tried and true method of sucking the reishi out of his opponents rearing its head. He couldn't use his stronger technique without drawing unwanted attention or releasing his resurrection but he could still do a little. In fact, the shinigami would have felt his most recent attack taking more reishi to use as the arrancar literally seemed to absorb the energy around him constantly.

"Maybe I should consider this an audition?"

"H-ha! Don't me make laugh ... I don't know what you are ... but I can feel the energy coming off of you and there's no denying what it is!

Koshou grits his teeth, as the damage just comes barraging into him even as this enemy taunts him repeatedly. Blasts of lighting come wrecking into his body at speeds he can't match, slamming into what's left of the reishi coating his Shihakusho, and punching through it! With the sound of breaking glass almost, the kido around him shatters and he's staggered backward, a step ... two steps from the blasts that keep coming, shards of that barrier once more breaking around him and slashing through his clothing now to full effect. Small spurts of blood come popping from his skin in a dozen locations, driving home the point the Arran'Car makes as he continues to assault the Soul Reaper. 

When the smoke clears a bit, Koshou stands, though not with stable footing as his blade is held before him defensively. "Squad Eleven believes in prioritizing battle prowess with our Zanpakuto ... but we're still members of the Gotei Thirteen! Besides ... " Hattori gives a tightening of his grip against his sword hilt. "How can you audition, if you won't even give your name?

With that, the Soul Reaper is again spinning his blade, trying to build up energy and momentum, He starts to rush forward, but this time he stops a bit short as he rears up his blade to pull it upward and place his open palm against the back of his sword's blade and facing toward the Arran'Car that he faces, even if his opponent is holding himself back to keep himself under the radar it doesn't stop Koshou from trying to press whatever advantage he can find against his foes. "Heaven's Judgement comes forth to rest in the palm of an open hand! Heaven's Fury supersedes all bounds, and claims a mortal form! From the point of the Northern Star, light guides the path of three wise men!" The chants come with panted breaths as the man's energy seems to finally be drawing to a close as he combines two techniques into one casting with a rudimentary mashing together of Kido arts, and it sounds like something like ..

"Hadokudo Two-Four! Kare-Kurai!" A blast of force comes from his open palm and streaks forth from him toward his enemy, combining the energies of his attacks to blast both of them toward him at the same time. The lighting bolts of Byakurai come streaking forth like a shotgun blast of light, and carry with the sizzling energies of Kare as another blast of burning force is carried along with it.

Laughing could be heard as the smoke cleared from the shinigami's most recent attack. The strange and somewhat crude combination of bakudo and hado something Nezuel had done quite often even if he preferred to focus mostly on bakudo spells. The lghtning the attack had emitted had been fierce, the strongest yet but the kare had left something to be desired. In the end the kido had dealt Nezuel a serious wound but the resulting explosion had left him able to get away. So why then, was he laughing?

He stood a few feet away looking at the shinigami with joy in his eyes. What a little monster he had on his hands, seemingly so new and yet talented enough to combine kidos in such a novel way. The wound the shinigami bled freely down his stomach, his white clothes turning red with the blood of the wound. "You want to know my name, shinigami?" He'd smile as the blood slowly started to move up his body and back into the wound almost like it had a mind of its own.

He threw out a chain of lightning at the shinigami, intent on binding him once again in the low level bakudo and overwhelm him with a barrage of attacks later. "I might be inclined to give it to you, should you beat me in this little fight." He combined a geki with a kare as he spoke, sending a small ball of dense energy at the shinigami.

"Beat me and I'll give you one favor you can ask of me...but lose and I may ask one of you..." his smile turned thoughtful as he looked away for a second. "Or owe me a favor and I'll tell you my name right now...but the winning conditions still stand, no?"
